WBP is an OA scientific journal, which sustains that all researchers should be provided with equal opportunities to publish and to access papers by other researchers regardless of their financial constrains.

Since WBP was launched back in 2005, it has grown considerably, presenting an increasing number of new submissions.

Currently, we are planning to launch a new web portal for Open-Access journals in the field of Biology, which includes a minimum of 4 other OA journals.

Funding from several Portuguese institutions has contributed to the expansion and improvement of WBP over the last 3 years.However, we need your support in order to follow on the next WBP editions and the future OA web portal.
